tricky trek to triund🗻🌩️
On my trip to dharmshala-mcleodganj-katra✈️ , here i was surrounded by the snow capped mountains in the gorgeous town of Dharamshala❣️ along with my brother and three enthusiastic friends.
As according to the plan we decided to get ready for the trek to triund which who knows was going to be one of the most adventours trek of my life😬.
Firstly, i should tell you Triund trek is located in the kangra disrict of Himachal pradesh located at the foot hills of mighty Dhauladhar ranges at an altitude of around 2800 meters. You can start the trek from the beautiful town of Mcleodganj😇. Many travelling company provide packages for the trek ranging between 1 to 2k rupees.
So we started the day with a light breakfast and left the guest house around 8:00 am to grab a taxi for Mcleodganj from police ground but then we decided to take a shared cab, easily available and is a good option for budget travellers like us😝. So we took the cab which charged us like 30 rupees per person for the journey and believe me the journey was breathtaking not because of the views but because of the driving skills of the cab driver😏.
As soon as we reached Mcleodganj we contacted a travel company which also provided some adventure options and the triund trek was among them. Mcleodganj adventours was the name of the company and its office is situated near taxi stand in mcleodganj. So we had two options , one was to take a cab to the gillu temple and then to start the trek which would cost us an extra taxi fare so we chose the second option that is to start the trek from mcleodganj itself which later proved a mixed decision as we enjoyed beautiful pine trees along the trail to gillu temple but also got tired before even starting the trek as it was around a hour of a trek to gillu temple . Our package included 2 breakfasts , 1 dinner , camping , bonefire and also we were provided with a trek guide (a personal one). These all costed us around 900 hundred per person which was not that bad as you will get to know later in the blog😏.
So we started the trek from mcleodganj to gillu temple . The journey was picturesque so we clicked some photos , ate our breakfast and with our puffy breaths reached gillu temple where we were welcomed by cute ponies . We took some rest there and then decided to start our main trek . We decided to buy some water bottles and chocolates as we were informed there will be limited shops on the trek . Also i would like to tell you that unnecessary plastic bottles and liquor is not allowed on the trek , there is a special team of forest officers which will check your bags for such things . So after getting our bags checked we begun for the trek.......
In the beginning, the trek felt very easy but with every minute it started getting tougher😵 but beautiful also😘. Every 15 minutes we would ask a person who was returning after completing the trek that how much of it is left ? and he/she would say you are not even half done and we would all go crazy😂 . But then it was the beauty of the trek that was tempting us to reach to the top ......
After half an hour it started getting foggy ,also we noticed there were clouds in the sky and it would probably rain in an hour or soon so we decided to hurry....
after half an hour we reached the half point of the trek , we took a 'chai break' there , a single chai costed us 30 rupees 😬, yaa things are very costly up there🤑......
after taking rest we completed rest of our journey and as soon as we reached the top it started raining heavily , we quickly went into our tents but there was one problem one of our person was missing and we cannot go searching for him because of the bad weather and there we were sitting in the tent completely hopeless but fortunately our guide found him , stupid was sitting in one of the temporary tea stall ,sipping the tea and as soon as he arrived in the tent we all went mad on him 😂🤣 that how careless he was and all😝. Then we were served rajhma chawal in the dinner but we couldn't get out of our tents as it was still raining .In the night it started raining heavily and there was also lightining and it felt like it was the last night of our life😱😨 and we all prayed madly🤣🤣 but seriously we were actually scared to death but it all passed . Next morning we had a clear sky , clicked some photos , enjoyed maggi/omlet with coffee and some alluring view of dhuladhar ranges. After spending an hour or so ,we started descending down to Mcleodganj.
i hope you enjoyed it😁
The End❤️
